Snatch work

Been working on keeping my shoulders over the bar longer on the second pull. In the past I have been getting to vertical and have been throwing my hips at the bar. Been doing a lot from high hang and the knee and i feel like its clicking.

Any thoughts appreciated!

Boom. I really got nothing to add from that. Looks solid to me. Some may say your hips are rising to quickly on the first pull, but I think it's fine given your levers. I mean, I'm certainly not the paragon of perfect snatch technique, but I have to do the same sort of thing.

Re: Snatch work

thanks Jeff. Yea I feel like I am really getting speed on my lifts like never before. And the hips like you said have always been a battle. Long levels don't help but I keep working on snatch/clean deads and pulls to strengthen the back and legs

Yep, I sympathize. I think the thing for you to do now is start adding some more speed off the floor making sure you stay tight and vertical like that. If you can do that, you know you've got it down pretty well.

Re: Snatch work

Looks really good!!

Only minor critique would be to work on keeping the bar closer to the upper body. It's slightly away from you and loops back over the top for your catch. I would like to see a slightly narrower S-pull bar path.
