2013 Games Cinco 1 Rich's No Rep

I like Rich Froning as much as the next CrossFitter (probably even more), but this has been on my mind ever since I saw the Cinco 1 WOD. Should the judge have called "no rep" on Rich's Hand Stand Walk? It looked like he only had 1 hand over the line at the end then flipped over and did his huge fist pump? I know he is the champ I just need a little closure! Thanks!

Ummm... Not sure how you're going to get closure asking here. What would you like us to say?

Maybe, maybe not... but does it matter? That would be like a football team being up by 14 pts and the QB taking a kneel, and calling a lineman for holding... makes no difference.

He wouldn't have been "no repped" he would have just had to go back to like 1 foot before the finish line, get in another hand stand, and finish and still win the event and the competition. I don't think there was any doubt he made it across. He did the whole handstand walk unbroken after all

I didn't think they had to stay in the lanes anyway. The women's had some hands off the track too. I dont remember the announcers ever saying they had to stay in the lane tho.

Seeing as he had a controlled round off finish to it, I think he's fine.
