Crossfit Women, where do you buy your jeans?

I started Crossfit last fall and have since lost 40lbs and dropped from a bulging size 14 to a 6/8 (depending on style/brand).

I'm trying to buy jeans now and am having the worst time finding the right fit.
I'm 5'6", ~150 (maybe a little less), ~29" waist and big ole butt and thighs.

I spent an hour in Gap trying on jeans and nothing fit right -- some skinny size 8s were too tight, and a Long & Lean size 4 was too big.

Where do the ladies shop to accommodate their athletic frames (big thighs and rear)?

Gracias!

Kendra

Re: Crossfit Women, where do you buy your jeans?

Thanks Andrew,

I did read those, along with a couple others that were several years old.

Today I went to Nordstrom Rack and found a pair of Joe's Jeans that fit okay -- I'll have to get them hemmed, but at least they did gap at the waist like all the others ... They are pretty tight on my thighs but am hoping a few wash and wears will loosen them up.

I saw in other threads that many people liked shopping at Buckle -- I may have to roadtrip south to Richmond to see if they can help me.

Would love to hear from other folks as well, I'm sure it's a common problem!

Tx,

K

bodybuilders have been dealing with this for years, as have other athletes. if you google stuff like "jeans for bodybuilders", etc, you can find a few things. but like i said, a tailor is a good bet. some of the expensive stores like buckle, lucky brand, etc do carry a few things, but for the price of one pair of jeans there, i can buy 2 or 3 pairs and get them custom tailored

Re: Crossfit Women, where do you buy your jeans?

I JUST yesterday finally found levi 512 "perfectly slimming" skinny leg jeans that fits my butt and thighs and my calves (my calves are muscular). Ordered online from kohls, I just hate shopping. They come in black, a very dark blue can be a dressier look and a basic denim. Also can choose length.I used to wear lei, mudd et al, dont fit anymore. .Other than that I live in yoga pants. Buyers seem to be buying from uglyville!!

Re: Crossfit Women, where do you buy your jeans?

Thanks Deb,

I also found myself at Kohls yesterday was pleased to discover that the Levi 529 "Curvy Boot" style fit me well as well as a pair of Lee "Perfect Fit".

These styles aren't quite as stylish as some, but I was glad to discover something that worked, especially for under $40/pair!
