Strength wraps vs rogue wraps (wrist)

I'm trying to decide which one to get?

The strength wraps look great but also look a tad bit flimsy. I have used the rogue ones before from a friend and they worked great. But the strength ones caught my eye on the website when I was looking.

Any thoughts on which is better?

Do the strength one come loose? Since they don't Velcro down?

I have the strength wraps from Rogue site (black and red). They have great support and I haven't had any problem with them loosing up.

I own a pair of Atlas Power Wraps (same as the Strength Wraps), and I prefer them to the traditional velcro wrist wrap. They give just as much support while offering the added feature of being able to loosen them and tighten them without taking them off. This is helpful in mixed modality workouts where you may want them for one movement but not another.

Being able to tighten/loosen the strengths wraps is the reason I bought them.

I have the Rogue branded Strength Wraps. Love them. I would imagine they will outlast the velcro type by a healthy margin as there is nothing to wear out. If you want a huge selection of colors you can get them directly from www.strenghtwraps.com (wfs).

Re: Strength wraps vs rogue wraps (wrist)

i have both. depends on what you want to use them for. the strength wraps provide serious support, they're very rigid once you've tightened them up as tight as you can so it's great for heavy weight work. and the ability to loosen/tighten on the fly is nice.

they will loosen up and unwrap during double unders i have found, so i wouldn't advise using them in a competition unless you taped them down for that. otherwise it seems to be a personal preference type thing

Re: Strength wraps vs rogue wraps (wrist)

Thanx for all the help everyone!

With all the great reviews i got the strength wrap from Rogue. I got the lime green ones.

I just recieved them today and they work perfectly! They tighten down real nice and loosen so easy! And they arent bulky which i love. They also seem really well made.

Ill hit my first WOD with them on monday, and give a full report, but as far as i can see, we got a winner :

Re: Strength wraps vs rogue wraps (wrist)

I've used the velcro wraps extensively, and just recently got the strength wraps. For just lifting I think I actually like the velcro ones better, but I found they lack in the utility department. I would never do muscle ups in them because they are to thick for a false grip. So far I've only lifted in the strength wraps once though, so it may just be that I need to get used to them.
