Compression Socks questions.

Howdy y'all.

Been fighting Posterior Tibial Tendonitis off and on for over a year. Anyone having luck w/use of compression socks? If so, what brand? Do you wear during workout, or only before or after (recovery)?

Any insight/direction here is greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Joshua

Joshua,

Can't guarantee that they will help, but I think that its certainly work a try as they help with bloodflow and its my understanding that a lack of bloodflow is one of the main causes of Posterior Tibial Tendonitis.

There are a lot of brands out there, most of which are extremely overpriced in my opinion. It was due to that pricing issue that my wife and I decided to look into starting a compression apparel company about 18 months ago. We aren't fully ready to launch yet (and likely won't be for another month or two), but if you are interested, I will send you a free pair of socks when they arrive in a week or two if you'd be willing to post a full writeup on here.

Let me know if you are interested!

As a point of reference, I went to a local running shop and they had two different brands of compression socks. One was $55 A PAIR and one was $65 A PAIR! In my opinion that is completely unreasonable. We are hoping to be in $25 - $30 price point when its all said and done.

I am wearing a pair of our prototypes right now and I absolutely love them. I always try to leave them in the drawer until I am about to do a big workout or go on a long run, but I find myself grabbing them all the time and wearing them all day to work and then during my workout.

I'd obviously prefer that people bought mine, but I would highly recommend most of the compression sock brands out there. Truly a game changing product in terms of comfort, recoverability, etc.

Hope this helps!

Re: Compression Socks questions.

Joshua,

Not compression socks, but I used these compression strips for multiple body parts, including the ankles. I would highly recommend them

Will do. I'll have my socks in 2 weeks at most but not the rest of my apparel for a while, so I can hopefully do something with socks for you guys before we officially launch. I'll keep you posted.

Greg, good luck with your new business! Keep me up on the progress as well, I've wanted to try comp. socks for while but the cost is keeping me from taking the plunge.

http://www.bonktown.com/. (wfs)

Is a one deal at a time site that deals with cycling stuff. Lots of compression stuff comes up, pants, shirts, calf sleeves, and are all at least 50% off. Reliable shipping and good customer service.
