Snatch help

Finally got around to getting myself on video working on Snatches. I've only been doing snatches since about October'ish. Completely self-taught, watching videos, reading etc. My weightlifting background consisted of lots of bench pressing, HB squatting and Power Cleans. So the Oly lifts are pretty new. However I feel I've got the mobility/flexibility and the strength to work my way up to respectable weights.

Started CF mainpage WOD's in Sept. by December I was in better "shape" but getting weaker in some areas. I could OHS more when I started than I can now. Went too hard too soon and my shoulders got very angry at me. Since then I've ramped it back on the mainpage and switched to The Outlaw Way, which I love. Still easing back into overhead/pressing work to build my strength back up but the shoulders are doing much better now.

But snatching is still off and on. I only have 135lbs on the bar for these vids which isn't really heavy but was really trying to concentrate on bar path per the workout instructions. Any advice would be helpful as I'm sure these aren't the prettiest snatches out there.

Thanks in advance!

Both vids are SFW and I apologize for the poor quality

Haha no sadly that's neither a home gym or a terribly nice set up. Those are plastic covered iron plates. There's a small lifting pad at the commercial gym I work out at and I use yoga mats under the plates so I can drop the barbell. Some bumper plates would be nice though!

Ok I see that now after watching both attempts multiple time. Thanks for pointing that out.

Thanks, after watching myself a bunch I think I see a couple things and I'm not sure if I'm on the right track.

1) It seems like at the end of the 1st pull my shoulders are coming up too early? Or maybe not getting my hips quite high enough before starting to extend.

2) When I go to drop under the bar I need to get my hips under the bar more during the catch?

Such a technical lift I'm kinda hooked and really want to get better at these. Again thanks everyone for any cues, tips or help!
