Question about Level 1 Certification Question.
Hey folks-
My buddy just finished his level 1 certification and did "Fran" on day 1. He believes that "Fran" is the standard/universal workout for day 1 for all Level 1 certifications. For those who are level 1 certified, have you found this to be true? I'm getting certified soon and I think my anxiety will be lowered if I know what to expect. Thanks! Mike |

Yeah, had Fran at the end of day 1 on mine.
Lunch time at day 2 we had a tripple alternating tabata of kettlebell swings, pushups and air squats. |

I didn't have Fran at mine. Day 1 was Tabata bottom squats followed shortly by a couplet of wall balls and burpees. Day 2 was Helen with pushups instead of pullups.

Much appreciated. We don't have a stationary pull-up bar at my gym (it moves--ha), so I have yet to learn how to kip. Hoping that the WODs are pull-up free and excited about learning to kip. Cheers |

We did not do Fran at my L1. It was impractical based on the equipment and amount of people. We did FGB. I forget what the other workouts were other than bottom-to-bottom Tabata squats, Tabata KB swings and 500m erg sprints.

My cert was FGB weekend so that is what we did. Every other coach at my gym did Fran.

I went back in Jan of this year. We did Fran at the end of Day 1. In the middle of Day 2, we did a team couplet of 400m runs with a 20# wall ball, while the teammate did SDHP with a KB. I set a PR on Fran that day. Being in front of 50+ fellow CFers can be very motivating.

It's been a while, but back in August 08 we had three workouts. Day 1 was bottom-to-bottom tabata squats before lunch and Fran at the end of the day. Day 2 was a lunchtime triplet of rowing, box jumps and wall balls.
But really, don't stress the weekend! Enjoy it and have fun! No one cares what your times are - everyone's just happy to be there. Good luck! |

We did Fran day 1 at the end of the day.
And day two we did a tabata mash up. With KB swings, squats and pushups. Dont be anxious. Remember everything is scale-able. Even FRAN |
