Anyway to prepare for first workout

I just scheduled my first session for Friday, I've been reading around talking my self out of doing CF for a couple of months now. But I have finally called and scheduled my first workout. Is there anything I should do to prepare, I don't mean workout wise, but any other tips that I should know.

Just be open minded, listen to the trainers and most importantly listen to your body! If you can't do something tell the trainers and scale it. No reason to get hurt..... Have fun and good luck, your going to love it!

I was the same way.. I dicked around for awhile.
Is it going to be an overview of the exercises? That's what my guy did. The first time was just here is how you do this, this, this, etc.

Re: Anyway to prepare for first workout

If you have not been active tell the coach the truth. If people are honest with us it make it much easier to attempt to avoid make them very sore. Extreme soreness is the result of poor communication and or poor coaching.

I worked out 20 years in a regular gym and when I got to CrossFit I didn't know 90% of the movements. So you are not alone if you feel like it is a lot of new information and a lot of new movements that the coach makes look so easy but your body won't seem to duplicate it.
