Re: 11.4 Any guesses?

Buh-bye!

Guessing we'll see a lot of 90 reps! Although I am not sure I can even do (30) 90 lb OHSQs to be honest!!

I did 60 lbs yesterday of OHS - might have to try some more this week at 90 lb to see if I can even do that. Otherwise I'll do the burpees and attempt the OHS.

Re: 11.4 Any guesses?

Very surprised that they threw muscle ups in.

Will be interested to see how many people put scores up over 160.

Re: 11.4 Any guesses?

A 10 minute cap on this doesn't make sense. What's up with all the AMRAPs?

None of these movements should be whined about, but the time limit is a bit silly. Why not just do 2 or 3 rounds for time?

Because 2 or 3 rounds of this is NASTY! Don't underestimate these movements in this order...Burpees will make OHS tough, and OHS will make Muscle Ups extremely hard...

I think 3 rounds will be the top end. Most will fall between 0-2 rounds.

Re: 11.4 Any guesses?

I believe the real reason it's not rounds for time is due to scoring. It's much easier to get for a set amount of time then it is to figure out exactly how long it took someone to finish...the margin of error would be way higher.

Re: 11.4 Any guesses?

Three rounds of this would be nuts...

And yes, as a trainer and someone participating in organized open qualifier events, AMRAP keeps things nice and simple for scoring purposes, which is good for everyone.

I think 2 complete rounds will be a dream.. burpees alone have got to take 3-4 minutes per round!

Re: 11.4 Any guesses?

I'm sure others already figured this out but I just realized that the AMRAP format might be so that they can subtract bad reps from the video submissions. If it were timed and the submission was full of bad reps they would get a DSQ. With the AMRAP they can subtract reps and the person is still in.

Makes sense.

As for all the "3 ROUNDS WOULD BE CRAZY!" comments, I only have 1 word:

Bull.

The hero wod, not the shortened version of bullsh*t.
