How many avocados a day?

Just wondering if I'm crazy for having 3 a day?

I usually eat almonds with 5 out of 6 meals a day, but want to switch up my fat source and replace 3 meals with avocados....I guess if the macro numbers match up and I end up eating the same amount of fat I should be fine, but I wanted to put this out there to see if any of you know different.

you're not crazy, if you need a high amount of fat to meet your caloric needs and you LIKE avocados go for it. Avocados don't really have as much fat as people think.

Avocados and properly made guacamole (no sugar added) is a great source of vits/mineral/fiber and fat. And on the plus side they don't irritate the gut like nuts can (for some people).

They also have about a 10th the omega 6 as almonds. (1.6g per 100g avocado vs 12g per 100g almonds

Coconut oil/meat/butter.

Speaking of butter, also an excellent fat source.

And ghee if you have lactose issues.

And don't forget animal sourced fat - bacon fat, tallow, lard, etc.

If you are being smart about it go ahead! But if it's a lot of fat you are going for then don't forget about meat as well.
