Partner Competition Workouts

Has anyone ever done a partner competition? If so, how were the workouts? If you've seen any programming for partner competitions, I'd appreciate some info relayed.

Re: Partner Competition Workouts

There is a Partner WOD Competition (WFS)coming up in Hampton Roads, VA in about 2 weeks, I'm sure after they will mention the WODs they used. As far as programming, I've got no idea. Someone actively involved in that comp might be able to help you out.

Re: Partner Competition Workouts

lol, awesome. Uhm, I did a partner workout recently that consisted of the following - (the following text copied directly from our whiteboard)
"10 - HSPU
20 - Pull-ups
30 - Box Jumps
40 - GHD Situps
50 - GHD Back
60 - Lateral Jumps
70 - Flutter Kicks
80 - Air Squats
90 - Double-Unders
100 - Mountain Climbers
then do it backwards...b***hes"

Notes - only one person could do any work at a time. You do all moves twice, once on the way up, once on the way down, EXCEPT Mountain climbers. One thing that shot our time up was we snuck in quick box jumps by having one person jump while the other was dropping using 2 boxes . I've done another partner WOD, but I'm having a hard time locating it currently.

Re: Partner Competition Workouts

The workouts I did with my partner for this competition was:

50 c2b pull ups
100 competition push ups
100 air squats
50 box jumps
100 double unders

Got it in 10 min flat.

Then:

3 Rounds of 60 double unders, 20 hspu's.

We split that evenly so 30/10 each for 3 rounds. Got it in mid 5 min.

We did both in the format you were talking about, only 1 guy doing work at a time.

Re: Partner Competition Workouts

Thanks for the link. Those look pretty fun and are sort of what I had in mind.

Re: Partner Competition Workouts

Reading through the partner WODs, how does the following work?
Quote:
Push ups (at the top of each rep clap partners hand) Both work together

Re: Partner Competition Workouts

Down, up, Right hand to right hand at the top. Down, up Left hand to left hand. If you have any specific questions let me know. The workouts turned out really cool.

Re: Partner Competition Workouts

That's what I figured, I just wasn't sure. Do you think this would be possible on sand? I'm prepping a beach workout for this weekend and considering that.
