Men's Underwear

Thinking about getting a separate set of underwear. I currently wear boxers, but have been thinking about jockstraps, briefs, or compression shorts. Also, what brands?

Re: Men's Underwear

Compression shorts, mos'def.

Brand hasn't seemed to matter so far. I use Under Armour and BCG (which I think I got from either Target or Academy).

Re: Men's Underwear

Depends on the WOD, if it involves HSPU I use compression shorts, if not just boxers.

Rowing is the only thing where boxers don't work for me. It can be brutal.

I asked about brands, because I saw some asian knock offs on ebay that were significantly cheaper. It looks like some people say they're fine, others say they're not as good.

Re: Men's Underwear

Why in the blue blazes would you ONLY wear a jockstrap under your workout shorts??

hell why would you wear a jockstrap to workout unless you are doing combatives?

Re: Men's Underwear

Generally I just work out in shorts or boxers. Something to be said about working out on your own/home. Or you can go commando with just a pair of shorts.

Microfiber boxers hold up well to gymnastics but cotton boxer briefs deteriorate over time. Boxer briefs ride sometimes.
