I was told it's the same thing as a squat thrust. Is it?

jump up with hands overhead, drop to a squat, hands on floor, kick both legs out into push-up position, push-up, jump feet back into squat position, repeat.

This guy played basketball for us a few years ago and I recently saw him win a slam dunk contest on one of those street ball shows on ESPN

They are something that is very fun to do in pyramids. They also serve as an excellent whole body warmup...

The FAQ has Ross Enamait-style burpees as the Crossfit standard:

Very similar to the example posted above, but with a pushup incorporated (maybe he does it in the example previously cited too - the video on my machine was choppy).
