Homemade Glute Ham Developer: DIY for $10

Here's the pics (WFS):

I decided I wanted mine to be a minimum of 12" of the floor, so I built a basic 2"x4" frame with 12" studs. Then I kneeled on the frame and measured up from the floor to the top of my ankles and custom built the a second frame out of the same material. I added another stud to each end of this one, kinda like a king stud but not, since that top 2"x4" will be subject to a considerable amount of torque.

Then I knelt down on my frame again and place the second frame where I wanted it to be. I measured the distance between the two frames and added two braces between them. One could conceivable make this part adjustable using hardwood instead of pine and some bolts. I don't need to since I'm the only one who exercises at my home. I then added some old towels to the apparatus for obvious reasons. I plan on adding some styrofoam later on, adding some towels, and then perhaps duct taping the whole shebang.

One the apparatus is constructed, you have many options on what to do with it. I simply tacked a 2"x4" on to my lifting platform and attached my to that. Once could conceivably attach it to a wall stud, floor joist, weight it down, the options are endless. It's not pretty but it works and the price is right.

I hope someone likes it.

Rolando,

You simply need to log into Google Picasa with whatever Google account you may have. I don't use photobucket or any of the other stuff any more since I find that Google has everything I need.

Doh

In the past I just clicked and it came up. I saw it look like it will work, I'll have to give it a try. Currently I am using a yoga ball and anchoring my feet under a work bench, but this seems a lot more stable...

Thanks for the reply...
