i am going to start implementing snatches into the workouts, and wonder if there is any other way to safely get the bar down other than dropping it. i am working out in my apartment, and dropping a loaded bar on the floor isnt a good idea. thanks

good luck hank....use a hook grip while snatching...thumb around the bar, fingers around the thumb....snatch the wt....bring the wt. down to the high hang position or mid thigh...then lower the bar to the floor while squatting down. back in the day...when i was a lifter...this is the way one had to lower the bar!!! bumpers changed all that. thank god!!!!
