Eyesight

Does anyone know or had any luck recovering eyesight?

When I was younger, I was an avid gamer with a bad diet and now I wear glasses. I'd love to not to have to wear these suckers anymore (that goes for contacts too). And I'm not too fond of getting surgery.

Thanks,
Artem.

Re: Eyesight

Google "eyesight exercises"

There are some... and yes, they can help...

Although it probably won't be anything extremely significant.

Re: Eyesight

Sounds like you are now myopic or nearsighted. Nope. Glasses, contacts, or surgery if you can't see things far away without your glasses.

Exercises here only benefit the person who you pay to prescribe them.

Re: Eyesight

I have similar problems. Guess my parents weren't kidding when they said "take care of your eyes, you only have one pair".

Re: Eyesight

Even more annoying (to me) is that 'over-40-farsightedness' thing which hit me, like clockwork, when I hit 40. I've been near sighted since I was a kid, but never had any issues seeing things up close, even with glasses on. At 41, I need to take my glasses off to see tiny stuff like splinters and I don't like it. I can still read fine, but I can tell that won't last forever. I also see less well in the dark which is annoying too.

Re: Eyesight

My eyes went bad when I was 13. Wore glasses and contacts for 28 years as my eyes got progressively worse. Ended up with -7 diopters in the left and -6.5 in the right. I have to put that in because I was way beyond 20/400 vision. Needless to say, I found that CrossFitting with glasses became a routine problem, while CrossFitting with contacts became even more annoying. So, I went for Lasik surgery. Got me to 20/20 in both eyes. Best thing I ever did and unhappy that I waited so many years to do it.

Re: Eyesight

I agree, glasses and contacts are really annoying, but I'm not ready for Lazek. I'll continue looking for another way to better my eyesight.

I'm with you Artem. I'm not yet willing to accept defeat.
