Does it help to take a branched chain amino acid (BCAA) supplement? If so is it better to take a pill or powder?

Maybe eating more lean meat would be best, I don't know.

i take BCAA's after workouts occasionally. How much it actually helps im not sure of, but it defanitely wont hurt anything.
Squat: 405lb Bench: 305lb Press: 160lb Deadlift: 435lb

Here's a pretty good [technical] review on BCAAs wfs

Simply put:

1. help inhibit fatigue during workouts
2. tend to halt catabolic & stimulate anabolic response in the muscles (protein synth).

Powder would be absorbed faster which would be better pre, peri or post workout.

Whole foods are always good though.....

They have been shown to have limited benefit and improvements. Like Steven said, you're better off just eating a clean whole food diet.
