I am working on my running technique.

Is anyone else using the Pose method of running?

If so, what are your thoughts? Also, how does it fit with your existing WOD's?

Thanks.

I am a forefoot striker, i sort of use POSE but not exactly, it is tremendous, i actually am a weird worker-outer to compair to, for example today i went for a light run of 7.5 miles in 53 minutes on a trail. But POSE or forefoot striking is wonderful.

I was a life-long heel striker until the past few years. Recently, after reading the Gordon Pirie e-book and buying some Nike Free's, I've really become a convert. My 5K and 10K times have both improved to pr's (since starting CF 2 years ago). Google the Gordon Pirie book and download the free .pdf if you haven't already.

Thanks Scott and Trevor. I'll probably check out that book too.

Trevor, why are you a weird one to compare with?

Oh i do 2 WOD's 3 days a week as well as calisthenics and weight training. Run about 50 miles a week and swim 6-8,000 yards a week. i have lost the idea of what it feels like to incorporate running with WOD's i have always been a runner and supplemental work just feels right, i recover really well, so i duno. Run as much as you feel comfortable with, i suggest the POSE running and getting into it very very slowly.

That's really cool. This must be what happens when CrossFit combines with youth.

Fixed it for you. That was the e-book I needed!

Re: Pose Method

LOL Aaron. Hard work was assumed. You didn't "fix" it, however, unless youth has nothing to do with one's ability to workout at huge volumes. It obviously plays a role.

Re: Pose Method

Haha, I was just being funny. I do know the value of youth when it comes to quick progression and recovery.
(The joys of being 21 and fit!)
