I wasn't saying it was bad matchmaking...it is genius by the UFC. They get to pass the torch and legitimize Brock all in one fight. I was saying it was a horrible match-up for Randy. This guy is bigger, faster, stronger and a good wrestler, which is what randy depends on.

Who is the better fighter? Most likely Randy. However, more experienced is Herring. Been in with better competition. the only person to make Herring look that bad was Fedor. Randy is the better fighter, but he relies on wrestling which will not work against brock....sorry.

Don't get me wrong, Brock is a formidable opponent, but the way I see:


Brocks' victory over Herring really didn't show all that much AT ALL. Herring got hit hard in the operning seconds and spent the rest of the fight intimidated curling up into a fetal. Brock did not have much of a fight that night and anyone who says otherwise needs to watch it again (I've only seen it once and that was plenty).

It's obvious that Brock is a tough match up for Randy, but Brock ain't no Barnett or Ricco either. While most people are only looking Randys' way, I am looking at Brock and thinking: "Randy is possibly (and probably) the worse match-up for Brock at this point. You throw a guy like Brock in the cage at this point in his career against a guy like Randy at this point in his career and Brock is in for quite a night. He hasn't fought anyone like Randy. Randy is a cerebral fighter with the heart and skills of a champion. Brock is gonna get overexcited and as Randy starts to dominate Brock will start to crumble until he cracks.
