Do people actually get denied for Affiliation?

Just curious if anyone has actually been denied Affiliation. I always hear people say wish me luck on my Affiliation.

Though I don't know, I honestly would hope so or my respect for CF drops considerably. Some could say "let the market decide", but I'd argue that quality control from the onset would be better for the brand. Just my 2 cents.

The answer is yes. Some applications are denied.

Justin, what makes you say it seems like anyone can affiliate. Do you have knowledge of someone not up to snuff?

Re: Do people actually get denied for Affiliation?

The requirements to affiliate do not seem especially difficult to achieve. It would be instructive to have some indication of why some have been denied. Is it a business related reason like inability to get insurance or some personal failing like a personality that isn't "conducive to coaching"? Are there any "red flags" that indicate probable rejection?

Enquiring minds would really like to know before they go too far in their plans ...

Re: Do people actually get denied for Affiliation?

As long as the fees for affiliations and certs are paid, I don't see anyone being denied. Besides the greed aspect, it would be pretty close to impossible to monitor the affiliates.

Re: Do people actually get denied for Affiliation?

But really guys - do you think anyone who actually affiliates is gonna set up some type of evil plott to promote crappy crossfitting???

In order to keep people coming they have to see results. People that want to give money away without results can just go to Globo Gym and if someone wants to give money away that is there problemo anyway...lol
