Top Competitors' Workout Routines Pre-Crossfit?
Does anyone know if some of the top competitors have talked about what kind of workouts they did before coming to crossfit? Diet? For instance, in one of the comments on the cfgames website, someone mentioned that Khalipa has only done CF for about 6 months. Obviously he was beast before coming to CF, so I'm wondering what kind of training he did before CF. Same with any of the other competitors who would credit much of their fitness with their pre-CF training.
The competition looked like it was a great time. Watching the vids of Kallista and Khalipa doing the C&J workout was impressive. Khalipa was just throwing that bar up there. Now it's time to see Caity Matter's video! |

You can actually see a clip of Team Rogue at the games if you check out our website www.roguefitness.com its should be under the journal. I train with Caity at Rogue and let me tell you shes a monster the other day we did a WOD which was:
amrap in 15 min. 5 sq c&j(men 155-135lbs/women 95-115lbs) 5 pullups(chest to bar) while the rest of the women had from 95-115lbs Caity had 135lbs and completed 7 rounds. Thats 35 squat clean and jerks with 135lbs for a female....the Final wod at the games was a breeze for her. J |

I'm lucky to train with Caity and J at Rogue. Caity is a beast, and I mean that in the best possible way. Here's our saturday workout from about two weeks before the games - Caity finished this one ahead of everyone:
50 pullups 50 HSPU 50 deadlifts, bodyweight 50 clean & jerk, 135 50 dbl KB swing, 16kg 50 KB taters, 24kg 50 KB snatch, 24kg 50 box jumps 50 floor wipers, 135 50 push-ups |

I think the question isn't what did they do leading up to the games, it's "what did they do before crossfit?"

I remember doing that work out a few weeks back...and yes those r mens weights but let me tell you Caity was prolly doing 115lb for the c&j and I think 16kg for all the kB work...we do some wild stuff at Rogue!
