What do you think the Sunday WOD could be?

I think it will be a novel WOD, involving running (that hill is just to tempting to not use), a row(tons of c2 rowers) , knees to elbows (ton of pull-up bars) and Oly lifts.
Also thinking about this for next year, instead of doing something like a CFT, it would be cool if they did an Oly lift total. Just for one year it would be interesting.

Josh Everett would clearly win.

Re: What do you think the Sunday WOD could be?

I thought they would do change it up and do the Oly total this year... but since Sunday's workout is going to have a time component to it, that's not going to happen.

I know they are going to have a bunch of rowers, since, if I recall correctly, there's an open rowing competition with a rower for a prize, so Sunday's workout will most likely make use of those rowers.

We know it's going to be a rather long workout, since the staggered start would eliminate all the excitement if it was a short workout like the Saturday ones. I'm expecting something in the 20-30 minute window that has a rowing component to it and probably not something with complex movements, like cleans or such, since the criteria for those hasn't been posted and half a day's notice isn't too long to familiarize yourself with the standards, compared to when they posted relatively simple movement standards such as the deadlift and burpees this far in advance.

Agree wholeheartedly with Julius, whatever it is, it will be a fairly long event.

Re: What do you think the Sunday WOD could be?

Hari Singh just asked an interesting question about work capacity and scaling. It got me thinking that maybe tomorrow's event could be an AMRAP. A little twist on the time domain maybe...

Re: What do you think the Sunday WOD could be?

Dunno what it's gonna be at the games but tomorrow wod is:

155 pound Squat Clean and Jerk, 30 reps

The barbell goes from ground to overhead, passing through a front squat in which the crease of the hip passes below the height of the kneecap. The finish position is with the arms, hips and knees fully extended overhead, with at least a portion of the ear visible in front of the arm. Dropping the barbell is acceptable.

Really didn't see it coming.

Josh Everett come back perhaps!?
