Re: East Coast CF Games

I'm thinking just Males and Females. It becomes too complicated to break up into age and other categories. Maybe if it goes well and there is another next year, let's see how many show up first!

Also, I plan to have it rx'd supercedes any scaling. That is how the CF games were run last year.

Re: East Coast CF Games

Jason,

I sent you an email yesterday, thanks for the quick response.

One question, why a 4 mile run? It's your perrogative, for sure, but I've been wondering why there are no 400m, 800m or even 100m races? Clearly they are a different animal than a 5k or a 4 miler but they could have some merit in the contests, David.

Re: East Coast CF Games

that's the distance David who ran CF games recommended. Nothing is set in stone and will surely develop as time goes on.

Re: East Coast CF Games

Definitely interested. I may not make it this year as I'll be moving duty stations up to NY right about that time, but I'll be around for a few years so I'll make it eventually if it becomes a yearly event.

Re: East Coast CF Games

It will depend but if i can make it i will!

As for the times not being that great for the trail run in the last games. The trail had some almost vertical terrain and was very hard for people to keep up a pace. I was told that even the top finishers at some point had to walk just to keep moving.

Jay,

Fantastic! This will be a great tune-up for Aromas. Again Faster and CrossFit Boston will be there!

Best,

Jon

Re: East Coast CF Games

This sounds like fun, something to work for. Even though it's quite a commute, I'll try and make it out there.

Re: East Coast CF Games

I personally like the hopper-then-CFT approach - since that's what I do when I am training, so I am good at it. Plus, it will train you for situations where you have to run a long way then lift something heavy It's not like you are going for PRs at CF Games.. max effort sure, but you don't need to lift more than you've ever lifted before, as long as you lift more than anyone else there

Too bad there's no direct flights to ALB from MCO I wonder if I can justify it with a business trip.. hmm..
