I do Army ROTC and have PT M-W-F mornings. Some days I don't have class right afterwards, so I'm considering doing the WOD after PT if the day's training wasn't too strenuous. Is this a bad idea? Also, is doing the WOD in the evening before early morning PT the next day a bad idea?

Hi Gordon,
I'm guessing your PT sessions last about an hour? If this is the case, I'd try to schedule at least a couple of hours inbetween the two workouts. It's genreally recommended that working out intensely over 45 minutes straight is counter productive because of excess cortisol production. IMO, EARLY evening workouts would be OK. In any event, you may have to scale the instensity of the WOD or prioritize which workout you're going to give it your all in. Hope this helps, Ryan |
