For sure have him or her teach you the squat, deadlift, shoulder press, and clean. Those are pretty much the foundational lifts of Crossfit, and they'll take you a long way. Once you're rock solid with those, you can begin learning the snatch, jerk, push press, etc. My .02. Hope it helps.

The first thing I'd do is learn to squat properly. Keeping the weight on the heels and the lower-back curved are essential parts of many exercises that are integral to CrossFit (squats, thrusters, deadlifts, overhead squats, etc.). You really can't go wrong by establishing this foundation as soon as possible.
