Re: "How fit are you?"

Yeah, the only reason I say I can max out the 3rd one (MUs and tabata squats) score is the last time I did the 30 MU workout I got it in 3:56. tabata squats would be rough though but I think I can make it. I'm much better on MUs now since I actually practice them occasionally. I was planning to try to get a sub 3 min 30 MU workout one of these days..

If I didn't have any gymnastics training though I'd definitely say this is pretty godly. I seen maybe a couple people post in between the 4-5 min range for the 30 MU workout.

Re: "How fit are you?"

I did this a while back, and it was a humbling experience. I was just getting back into CrossFit hardcore after a deployment cycle, and I thought I was in shape.

Here is how it "shaped" up:

Test 1
320 x 33 10560lb for 12 points, I was happy with the result, which should have been a sign

Test 2
C&J 160 for 15 for 12 more, I almost had a heart attack, all joking aside. I rested the bar on my back for nearly a minute between the last 5 reps

Test 3
Can't do a muscle up, nuff said

Test 4
Pulled 605 in the DL and a wussy 8 in the HSPU for 8 points

Test 5
Didn't even make the 4 ranking, 7:03 was my time

Total Score: 32

I plan to run it again the month before I deploy, I am shooting for 56.
I hope to get 16 on tests 1 & 2, 4 on test 3, 16 on test 4, 4 on test 5.

Test 1 is no problem to improve, I am hitting PU like a madman.
Test 2 I honestly think I can push 190 for 15
Test 3 The linchpin, I have got to get the muscle up
Test 4 Working on my HSPU, need 25 at 605
Test 5 The prep for the other events should get me on the board for this test

Re: "How fit are you?"

You got points at least. Some of us wimps couldn't even score a 1.

Re: "How fit are you?"

This would be "great" to do for the 5 days following a week off. I'd love to give this a shot and see what I can pull off.

IN! I'm going to try this, perhaps in December or January (too much travel coming up). I need to work on HSPU and MU if I'm going to be serious. I'd be thrilled with 44. 36 (or below) is more likely.

Though I don't understand why you needed the triple "n" in your last name...you are officially my new hero...this definately should be on a t-shirt!

That's odd... I don't know why there's a triple "n" either!
I really think I (or someone else) would have noticed it by now.
I hope I can change that...

Re: "How fit are you?"

Man these are daunting...

I'm going to go for some of these the next two weeks is anyone else doing them anytime soon?

My goals

Test 1 - 4 points
Test 2 - 8 points
Test 3 - 4 points
Test 4 - 8 points
Test 5 - finish! (we'll say 4, running blows)

Re: "How fit are you?"

So...I went for test 4 today...boy was I overestimating myself.

385#DL
and 9 HSPU for 3465...not even on the scoreboard. For solace if I'd had a weight belt I would've went up on the DL's and probably not sacrificed any HSPUs...but I still thought I'd at least get 4.

OH...not too mention my HSPU's weren't ear to hand...only head to ground. So I actually "subbed" to get those 9...very humbling experience I think these tests will be.
