I hear you, I can feel the stares at my gym, but I turn my MP3 up and stay focused. Crossfit workouts are so intense most people just stare. Although, I did get asked not to do HSPU because it looked unsafe, what a bunch of P*&%#$@s. Making my own gym in my garage. If it wasn't for the lame ***** at my gym I wouldn't have decided to workout at home. So thanks to the lame AS&*^&%&es. Talk to ya'll later. Go get some!

Ralph, I almost asked a trainer to explain to me what the sign means, but think I will just ignore it for now like Andrew suggests hehe.

Tom maybe I'll scrawl that bit on when no one's looking :lol:

Alica, use the sign as a nice visible progress log, cross out the 60kg and add 65kg, then 70kg etc as you get stronger. Other people might start asking why you're progressing faster than they are, you could get some converts to workout with, or the sign might get taken down pretty quickly and you get left alone.

I would be really temped to rip the sign down and then go have a word with the managament. Something to the effect of descrimination and lawsuit strung together in the same sentance should get their attention.

That's a brilliant, in-your-face suggestion! :harhar00::showoff:

I wouldn't be too afraid of any owners not strong enough to talk to you personally but rather put a sign up.....I say make it a competition....strive to get a new sign up every week....it will be fun for you and drive them completely nuts!

Alicia: modify the sign to:

A 55kg girl lifting 60kg is NOT safe.
Unless you are a Crossfitter!
For info go to www.crossfit.com

That'll get their undees in a bind.:rofl:

Peter's idea is okay, but. . .

I like Tom's quote better.

now i am intrigued alicia, what gym are you at. most of the gyms i have been to in perth would actually ask you to stop if you were doing something they thought was unsafe. you will also find soon the copy effect that some others have spoken about previously. that's where the same trainers who said it was unsafe start to copy your workouts with clients. just wait for it
