Kelly -- A unit of measurement that serves as a common benchmark for Crossfit Workout of the Day times. Mere mortals usually strive to complete a workout within 2 to 3 Kellys.
Word Origin -- Based upon the extraordinary superhuman times consistently posted by Kelly Moore |

Yeah, I've been tracking myself vs. Kelly (futilely) for years.
My WOD = 2.5 x Kelly = average My WOD = 2.0 x Kelly = pretty good! My WOD = 1.5 x Kelly = AWESOME!! My WOD = 1.0 x Kelly = not in this lifetime. |

I like that. I've noticed my time is usually approximately twice that of the top finishers, one of whom is invariably Kelly.

I like it!
I will contact Websters dictionary right away. We should also include a picture, so no one argues. |

Thanks guys, you're making me blush . You're very kind, but I don't deserve this praise. I have many holes in my program - running, rowing, box jumps, tumbling, O-lifts, walking on my hands, jumping rope, throwing, catching, etc....
Annie, Greg A, Nicole, Matt G, Eva, Greg E - now they are legendary! Even more inspirational are folks like Adam Walinsky, Connor Martin, Julia Atkins and Lynne Pitts. These folks are defying age barriers and/or working around injuries, something I am blessed not to be dealing with during the WODs. **** I am addressing my running, handwalking and rope jumping problems thanks to indoor track access and the wonderful folks at Madison's Monkey Bar Gym. I WILL break a 7 minute mile, walk on my hands and do consistent doubleunders this year! |

Kelly,
I believe you are singled out because of your consistency in posting early, as well as your times. Many of the elites you mention don't do the WOD as posted(at least as far as I can tell from the postings). You do them, and often another workout and post times, which makes you the rock star that you are. I still remember cringing on the Front squat/GHD situp WOD a while back, upon seeing that it took you about a half hour, I should have known. That WOD fried me like few others have. I have to add that since I started, I have continued to tell myself that if I just keep doing the WOD's that eventually I should be able to come close to Kelly's times (I think this originally a result of chauvinism, which I have since lost after watching clips of many of the girls here). Andy, I ditto your comments. I go to the board each day and am always looking for Kelly's times so I know how bad it's going to hurt. If I do 1.5 km's, I am truly a happy man. Keep up the good work, Kelly.

You know, Kelly, I think everybody here just plain likes you, too. All of these compliments are quite sincere. They are also sincere in the sense that we are jealous. At least I am. But, you do the time, you GET the time. Life is fair.
