All we did to get thrown out of our gym was to not sign this contract that World Gym gave me(Please read for your amusement). Also, I expressed my discontent for the document to the owner in a manner that was not quite as cordial as he was accustomed to. Read this and tell me what you think.

Ashley - that's probably the WORST one I've ever read... Hysterical... but CRAZY! We are doing our training down here in Fayetteville NC and while I've seen some... "special" write-ups, that takes the cake!

Hee-Hee!

I've been hired as a personal trainer at Bally's. My primary fitness background is Circular Strength Training, but I've agreed to get an ACE or NSCA cert within 90 days. I will probably be the one trainer who has also heard of Crossfit.

Just for fun, I tried "Angie" for the first time last week. At Bally's. I was not in uniform, just a regular guy in t-shirt and shorts. The only pullup bars are in the free weight area. I got some shocked looks as I went through it, even though I fell short on the pullups and wasn't going as fast as I might have on the rest.

I've also done DB Swings and Pullup Burpees there... so far no complaints. Will be interesting to see what is said when I bring Clubbells into the cage. :proud:

$15,000 a month license fee!
Let them know what you think making a counter offer of 50 cents. Very important to keep a straight face.

I also do get strange looks. But hey, before CF, I did lots of pullups, deads, military presses, etc, usual stuff.
I got weird looks as well.
And now imagine CF workout, I do think that sooner or later they will whisper something about not to do cleans as I might hurt myself.
I deadlifted few days ago with 110 kg. I cought look from one girl who was trained by gym's personals trainers. She said something like wow, what is this excercise for ? Answer was something like it is very dangerous one and I will hurt myself, my spine will blow up or something. Funny.

OK, day two at my at work gym, and I still haven't been able to jump on a treadmill or an elliptical. Especially annoying when you see some of the operators just kinda walkin' along and not even breathing hard. They ARE allowed to walk at a snails pace in the hallways, yet they choose to use a treadmill. Maybe it's because of the TV's on the wall.

I know what you mean Don. If the mill walkers are just lumping along, I say amateur hour is over, get off and let the “A” team have a go at it.

Nothing's more annoying in a gym than a test pilot on equipment.
