Since I have no tolerance for spending the time to build a plyobox i plunked down the $200 to get one shipped to me from BFS. So... I'd like to get the most use of it.
Anyone have any links for plyobox type workouts. I know i'm supposed to jump up and down off of it but are there specific combinations of other exercises that are worthwhile to integrate into box jumping ? For $200 I HAD to ask :sorry: |

Not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but something we used to do for basketball practice was put one foot on the top of the box, launch yourself up as hard as you could with that leg (get air) then land on the box with both feet. Step down with the same leg, then repeat using the opposite leg. Those can really start to suck in a hurry.

Kevin,
Look in the WOD archives and pick your poison! |

Other uses besides jumping on a box...
Pushups with feet elevated on the box. Burpees with the jump onto the box. A primer for pistols, let one leg hang off the side. Occasionally, after a WOD, I sit on it but I'm usually too wasted to actually sit so I lay on the floor. David |
