I think it has more landing space than my PowerMax boxes.

I think you would need a rubber mat under the box so it won't slide.

Oh yeah, that's big...I was watching the guys on the show do some footwork drills on smaller ones.

I'm gonna check them out and find one that is good for me. They should be lighter than carrying around a plyo box too, I would think.

Hmmm. That might make a good alternative to trying to duplicate Lincoln's fine work in the latest CFJ.

I'm a crappy, crappy carpenter, and I have no tools...

We've used these for about a year and yes, they slide on the stall mat flooring. Mostly they get used as platforms for jumping pullups but an occasional low box jump. They are only 15" tall but maybe we have the short version... They are super sturdy though!

Thanks for the tip Matthew. I have been trying to find these boxes for a while. I picked up a few this morning at Home Depot in the back of the plumbimg section.

these come in quite a few sizes. i used a couple of them last year when i put in my irrigation system. you could check at local irrigation companies if lowes/home depot doesn't have the size you need.

they're definately pretty sturdy, but i could see how they'd slide easily.

Buy some good skateboard grip tape and affix it to the rim of the bucket. Personally I prefer jumping up and down on my bumper plates if I'm not going to use a proper plyobox, but when I build the Lincoln-style masterpiece, it too will get griptaped.

I use the stuff all over the place -- for texture around crappy holds on my climbing wall, for the shaft of my ice-climbing tools when I choke up on them on mixed routes, etc. Great stuff.

I like Black Magic brand, but these guys have a great selection and some really cool stripey designs (use for top of box, I guess):

(I originally wrote "glue it on" but that seems ambiguous -- all skateboard grip tape comes with awesome glue already on the back of it, use that.)
