James, that looks like a great design! Right now mine is mounted to a 2x6 beam that makes up a storage overhang in my garage (extended storage, out from the attic enterence)...so I'm not sure I can mount a 2x4 that way...I'll look into it for sure.

I'm working on getting a pullup bar (1" external diameter) made of all metal and welded, 8' long with supports (square tubing) on both ends and one in the center. I'm thinking 15" down from the ceiling. I'll post it when I get it done/made (I don't weld, at least not yet).
I was picturing the setup being very similar to this one, x/c I want to add some angular supports to the front and back of the hang-down portion to really stabilize it for hard kipping. I love kipping. Dr. G (Message edited by guerilastrength on February 01, 2006) |
