Tyler and others,
When I use my rings, the buckle slips. I don't know if I'm not setting the buckle properly or what, but there is significant movement/lengthening of the straps when I pull. Any ideas, quick fixes, helpful hints? |

Are you passing the strap through the buckle incorrectly? You should be passing the strap through so the end sticks up toward the sky, not down toward the ground (i.e. you are pulling it UP through the buckle).

If you put it in backwards it will slip. There is a diagram on the side of the buckle that says "Feed Web" and an arrow that shows the direction to feed it through. But basically, it should go in through the window in the back of the buckle and out the front.
I hope this helps, Tyler |

I am an idiot. Thank you both. This will teach me to read the instructions.
Luckily it only slips slowly. |

Andy,
Is it still slipping slowly? When set up correctly it should hold up to 4000 lbs without slipping. It sounds like you got it to work, but I just wanted to make sure. Tyler |

Tyler, it slipped slowly when it was rigged backwards, now there are no problems. Luckily slow, because it never caused any significant problems, other than my arm being uneves on pullups, and that I just considered "more functional."

When I first got my rings, I hooked them up so they were near the ground, so I could do pushups on them and get a feel for the instability.
I had them rigged backwards and fell on my face. Moral of the story, read the directions! |
