Nic,

It was 40+ pull-ups.

Huge threads on it:

I'm up for the 15xBW OHS.

Like Nic, I've had it as a long-term goal in the back of my mind since reading Dan's article.

I am with Pat and Nic. Since I have read that article, I have thought about doing 15x BW OHS. I don't think it will happen soon, but it sure would be nice. I am currently at 2 reps of 135#. My BW is currently 175.

BW OHS would be great. Since Dan's article, I have been working toward that goal. I have been following Pavel's PTP formula. 2 Sets of 5. I do this as part of my warmup. I just finished my last cycle at 110x5, and am cycling back up now. I am trying to get up to 175BWx5 and then wok into the 15 reps.

Man! 40 pullups would have been a LOT easier than BW OHS!

But--with all the talk about climbers doing pullups in those other threads--I believe the BW OHS would be far more beneficial to a climber than pullups.

It's all relative. For some people, 40 pull-ups or 100-yard handstand walk is a lot harder than BW OHS. Depends on individual skills and training, body type (e.g., see the numerous big person vs. small person discussions), fear factor, etc. That's why folks are discussing having a lifting challenge--rather than gymnastic/calisthenic--challenge this time.

Should be interesting.

I agree, Carrie.

I've put my hand up for the BW OHS idea, simply because it is completely different to the last 2 challenges (gymnastic based).

I'm built for BW gymnastic-type exercise much more than for lifting iron, so the OHS certainly won't be "easy"...

Oh man,

I can see the 15 rep BW OHS challenge coming. . . I can't even do a third of my BW with OHS. This one would be tough.

Lets do it.

On a side note: there is a benefit to doing gymnastics exercises - no real need for equipment. One thing I liked about the HSW is that I could practice anywhere. I only have a Threadlock bar with iron weights and no stand (I would have to clean the bar to begin with).
