Has anybody competed in one of these races? It looks like fun, and I'm thinking about doing it next year after the Highland Games season is over. It looks like it's pretty heavy on anaerobic fitness and probably a good complement to the WOD. I also think switching gears on a dime from a strength sport to an "aerobic sport"--with only CrossFit to hold it together--ought to be a good test for the CrossFit concept.

Anyway, I'd appreciate any feedback people have. Thanks!!!

highly anaerobic, lots of lactic acid, mud and stuff. mtn bike racing very similar. a cross bike is best, tho i understand mtn bikes allowed...
quads, quads, quads will be battered but whole body involved. lots of gasping. enjoy.

I'm going to watch parts of one this weekend, and hopefully a full one next weekend. It looks like a good complement to the WOD. Huffing and puffing is good. Going *** over teakettle in the mud has to be even better.
