In the Modern Pentathlon, athletes run, swim, fence, shoot, and do an equestrian race.
My idea is to follow that format for Crossfit athletes is to run, Power or Olympic lift, swim, combat activity (wrestle/box or pugil stick), bike or row. The swim or combat could also be substituted for a Obstacle course. Any thoughts? |

Hi David,
This Pentathlon is an outstanding idea! In Florida we are working on a CrossFit Iron-Man with obviously more than three events, but I just love the iron man name. We swim 500 meters, run one mile, 100 push-ups, 50 to 75 pull-ups, 150 air squats, 100 sit-ups, 1 rope climb, and 50 to 75 dips all for time! Every now and then we will throw in some O’lifts for a change. |
