Re: 1000lbs club CrossFit Total

I'd love to hit 1000 by the end of '09 i'll be training at BUD/s for almost all of 08' so that may dump a lot of my training in Crossfit haha.

Re: 1000lbs club CrossFit Total

I'm not out of the running with an 845lb total.

Sp=155
Sq=295
Dl=395

I know I have 305 squat now. 405 still seems heavy. The press sucks, I can't make gains. have added more HSPU and Heavy DB presses. I'm 195 now and dropping. I want 1000 by this time next year. (way sooner, but reality and all)

Re: 1000lbs club CrossFit Total

Broke it at our last official gym CFT at CrossFit Eastside on 9/9/07.

Body weight 183

BS 418 (190kg)
SP 177 (80kg)
DL 421 (191kg)

Total: 1016 (461kg)

Since then, deadlift and press have come up some, and I think squat has room to grow. That stunty no-neck dwarf Dale is going to make me get the deadlift over 500 where it belongs - he said if he got there first he was coming back out to Washington and drinking all my beer. Regardless, I have no idea how to go after that 1245lb elite rating. Maybe I'll just drop a bar on my head and hallucinate that I've already reached it

Re: 1000lbs club CrossFit Total

at 5'7 and 140#, i dont think i will get anywhere near 1000. LOL

i'm fairly new to CF (been reading and keeping up with your website for a couple of months), and i've tried a couple of the WODs (mostly scaled).

so far my best CFT : 705#

SQ : 275
SP : 125
DL : 305

140# (24/M)

i know i can squat more, but i have been doing "partial squats" my whole life so its gonna take time for me to train and get used to full squats (really working on it!). And i think i can get the DL up to 315# on a good day.

Re: 1000lbs club CrossFit Total

Did my first CFT on 070901. I missed the most recent one due to taking a week off to recover.

CFT: 1000

Squat: 420
Shoulder Press: 200
Deadlift: 380

Never have been much of a deadlifter until I started CF at the beginning of August. I think i will see my biggest gain there.

Re: 1000lbs club CrossFit Total

Is there anyone out there who is under 170 lbs who is close to or has bested a 1,000# CFT?

I'm at about 165 BW +/- and a CFT of 835, but I've only tested the CFT twice. I have yet to do a WOD at our affiliate that is ME squats, DL or Presses (other than the CFT, obviously). I was surprised that at the second CFT we did I went 90# higher than the first one, so I know it is improving, but a 1,000# Total seems MILES away from me.

Re: 1000lbs club CrossFit Total

I think that this will be my goal by the end of 2008.

BW 170
Total 800
Squat 272
Press 144
Dead 384

By the way we just had a guy at my gym hit 1035 up from 947 three months ago.

We also had a guy hit 1189 a couple of months ago at a 240 pound body weight. The really impressive thing about this guy is he also has a 3:09 Fran and an 8:30 Helen.

Re: 1000lbs club CrossFit Total

I'm gunning for the half ton total myself. With my current PRs I'm around 120-140lbs off of that goal. I really need to work on my squat and try to get it closer to my DL max.

Re: 1000lbs club CrossFit Total

I just hit 820...so I think it's a good goal for 2008. 60lbs on each lift seems reasonable.
