Hi all,
I haven't posted in a while. I was running if a bunch of you were still EOD fasting? I'd love to hear some personal accounts of how you got about it! Cheers, Paul |

Paul-
You might check out the PM that covers Kurtis Bowlers EOD experience. Shoot him an email also, I'm sure he will be glad to chat with you about it. |

I don't know much about it but I believe it means "Every other day"

I'm doing the 24 hour on/off fasting, I'm in about the sixth week so far...

Been doing this for quite sometime with steady progressions in performance and energy levels. Must try for yourself as everybody responds differently. Some people can't even fathom the idea of fasting once or twice a week (let alone EOD) on a physically demanding, high intensity S&C program like CrossFit. Zone, zone, zone you'll hear. Has worked wonders for many. Can't argue with the results there. However, not the only way to skin the cat! I've found EOD fasting combined with paleo-tyoe foods in Zone ratios (give or take, not exact) on feed days to deliver some impressive results. The added convenience is the extra bonus for me.

Just wanted to clarify for those new to IF...
EOD IF, or 24 hour on/off, are the same thing. I believe it has been relatively agreed upon that eating one day and fasting the next tends to be too long between feeding periods (ie. it ends up being something like 34 hours fasting and 14 hours feeding). It is convenient, I will give it that. |

what are the putative benefits of fasting, seems a bit extreme to me...

Why would one do this? I look at it this way---If you exercise intensely don't you need food to repair your body?
