I'm thinking about taking 3 tsp of Carlson's Fish Oil (4800mg Omega-3, 1500mg DHA, 2400mg EPA) in my shakes the days I don't eat fish. How's that sound? I can always lower it to 2 tsp.

Sounds great. That's what I take too (3tsp). And I bet you don't eat the equivalent of 3tsp of carlson's on the days you eat fish alone, unless you eat a LOT of fish.

2 tsp is the average for an adult though that is just average. I have taken up to 2T at a point when very deficient.
3 tsp is a good starting point.
