Now this is the story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down!

I've been dabbeling with CrossFit for a couple of months now, mainly just the olympic and strength stuff to help with my rugby. I tended to only do this stuff as it was what i could manage in the rugby club gym.

An affiliate has recently opened in my area CrossFit Teesside, the grand opening was the Saturday just gone. My ON RAMP started on Monday 08/08/11.

I thought it was about time i started to log everything to see progress im making.

To start a couple of stats:

DL 1rm - 145kg
BS 1rm - 120kg
FS 1rm - 100kg
OHS 1rm - 65kg
C&J 1rm - 90kg
Snatch 1rm - 65kg

At the moment my goals are to just improve across the board.

I have a few videos of my lifts on YouTube which can be found here http://www.youtube.com/user/22campbe...2?feature=mhee (wfs)

Thanks Scott, loving the new enviroment!

11/08/11 - Cleans at the rugby club gym

70 x 5
72.5 x 5
75 x 5
77.5 x 5
80 x 3
90 x 1

Then some skipping practice

12/08/11 - ON RAMP Session 3

5 rounds:
10 Dead lifts @50kg
50 Double unders

Re: Now this is the story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down!

15/08/11 - ON RAMP Session 4

8minute AMRAP
5 pull ups
10 med ball cleans @ 4kg

10 rounds + 5 pull ups

I'm pleased with this as before it i had an aim of 1 round per minute becasue i didn't know what to expect but i surprised my self

Pull ups were good i think maybe 4 rounds i got through the full 5 in one continuous cylce with out losing my rythm which made them feel effortless compared to the rest where i would get maybe 2-3 then loose rythm and have to start again.

Med ball cleans got tough on the quads quickly.

Hey Callum, welcome to the boards mate. Good strength numbers for your size.

What are your stats? height/weight etc? What position do you play? You look like a winger?

Take it easy,

Cutter

Thanks Chris

I'm 6ft, 12st 9lb (80kg) as of last night.

I play 10 or 15, but i played a about 7 games at 12 towards the back end of the season due to a lot of injuries. I play 7's over the summer as well.

Do you play yourself?

Yeah, I played at Regional level in school/college and play on/off at Corp level in the Army, alot of 7s as well. I used to play at 8 but I play 7 now or crash centre at times.

I'll be keeping an eye on your progress.

Take it easy,

Cutter

Re: Now this is the story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down!

Got some serious DOMs in my quads from the med ball cleans last night!

Warm up
500m row, Double under tekkers, band mobility, foam rolling, Wall climb tekkers.

Managed 12 DU's - first time i've hit double figures

3 Rounds (no time)
• 2 Wall climbs
• 5 static lunges

WOD- 12 minute AMRAP

• 10 metre walking lunge
• 10 ring dips
• 10 Ab mat sit ups

5 rounds + 8 dips

The dips got really hard after the first two rounds, had to go to singles i think i must have failed 15+ reps during the last 3 rounds.

Finisher – 400m sprint for time.

1.04
