300 Fy?

Anyone tried this workout?

300 FY
300 calories on an Airdyne in <10:00

Just wondering how hard it really is. I heard where it's easier on a rower so I think I'm going to try it on the rower tonight just for grins.

I know what it means when people are talking to me, but that's probably not the answer in this case.

Re: 300 Fy?

It stands for "F you"...the story I heard was that Mark Twight got annoyed with people modifying/scaling his original 300 workout and then saying that they had completed it.

The 300 FY cant be scaled or modified...it is what it is...I've never had access to an airdyne, but I've heard it's pretty horrible.

I am a decent rower...no way could I get 300 calories in 10 minutes on a C2...anything north of 25 a minute takes quite a bit of effort. Best of luck to you on it!

Oh, well, then it does mean the same as when people are using it with me. Sweet.

Re: 300 Fy?

I've played around on an Airdyne for a bit and the nasty thing about it is that there's no recovery portion like there is on a rower--it's all suck, all the time. 10 minutes of that just doesn't sound like much fun to me.

Re: 300 Fy?

Finally made this happen tonight. I called it off at the 5 minute mark and went to do some strength work. It just wasn't going to happen. Of course I haven't done ANY type of met con in almost 2 months.

Re: 300 Fy?

That workout would indeed be complete suckitude. No way that you can cheat it, scale it or anything else. Just non-stop hard work for ten minutes, as hard as you can.

Re: 300 Fy?

You could do an AMCRAP - As many calorie reps as possible in the 10 minutes. Write down your result and try for better in a few months time. Sounds awful.
