Muscle soreness and lack of energy

Background:

7 weeks ago herniated l4-5, seems to be healing well. Up until last Thursday, I was taking about 1200-1800 mg of ibuprofen per day. Last Thursday I stopped with the ibuprofen and cut sugars (other than those found naturally) and flour, grains, etc out of my diet.

The discomfort associated with the herniation has increased, but the discomfort is in the same location and I think it is normal.

The new symptoms are muscle soreness in other parts of my body as well as loss of energy.

I was wondering if these might be detox symptoms form the removal of sugars and flour, grains, etc.

Thanks for any and all feedback.

Could be detox symptoms, which will be helped by drinking lots of water.

Could also be just plain lack of food. If you had a grain heavy diet, it can be difficult to get the same number of calories from other sources.

Post in the Nutrition forum and you'll get all the advice you could possibly want.

Significantly changing your diet will take your body about 1-3 weeks to adapt... so yeah

Re: Muscle soreness and lack of energy

Read up on your meds motrin should be 2400mg per day. Also try some tylenol for the pain and stiffness read up on back mechanics simply tying your shoes wrong can cause you pain bend at the knees not the back, roll out of bed using your core. Strengthen the core is the key!
