Travelling

I travel a lot. Is it common to "visit" other facilities for a good workout? Pros/Cons? Do you just call and say, "Hey, I'm from out of town and would like to do a CF 1 / 2 / 3 class?"

Thanks,

Re: Travelling

The community is really good, and I think most people would be happy for you to drop by. Some may let you work out for free, or others may charge you as much as $20 for a drop in fee. Also, most affiliates do their own programming, so it may not mesh with what you are currently doing. Most affiliates I have talked to, will not let you just come in and use the facility, you probably have to be part of a class. The good thing is you can check online to see what affiliates are in the area you are traveling to and then call in advance to see what they have going on.

There is also a forum post with a bunch of bodyweight only WODs that are good for when you are on the road.

Sadly, I've learned I have little ability to really push myself without being part of a "herd".
