Re: Seen at the globo yesterday

Seen at the globo today...

Three half full beer cans in a locker in the locker room.... Apparently some one decided that the locker room was a place to have a few brews (either some underagers or custodial staff).

Re: Seen at the globo yesterday

Friday after Thanksgiving I met some friends for racquetball. I see a guy working with a trainer (well, a guy with an LA Fitness polo and a clipboard, so I assumed he was a trainer), who had a client balancing with both feet on a balance board while doing cable rows in a squat position. I'll give you a minute to picture that.

It was hilarious, but my phone was buried deep in my bag so no pic!

Re: Seen at the globo yesterday

Saw a guy with a fanny pack on. That is not the end of it, he had inside his fanny pack, a portable CD player. I haven't seen either of these two things in quite some time, much less both together. I sure hope he had one with skip protection...

Re: Seen at the globo yesterday

I haven't posted or been on this board in a LONG time but I came here to look for this thread thinking it would still be on the front page w/plenty of updates. I'm disappointed to see that you've all let it die lol.

Re: Seen at the globo yesterday

I guess it *has* been a while, hasn't it?

I have nothing further to add at this point, I suppose. I haven't been into a globo for over five years.

I suspect it has to do with most members on this board now working out either at a box, in a CF style garage box, or at a globo with CF equipment (Bumpers, KB's, racks, ect- Iron sport fitness type globos). Also, most everything you could see in a Globo has been pretty much covered in this thread, and we all know what globos to stay away from, such as Planet Fitness and LA fitness (these are the globos that most behaviors discussed in this thread are found). You still have a few members working out at ill-equipped college gyms which ban certain CF movements and have legions of squat rack curlers. But it seems that this is becoming rarer and rarer, at least for board members.

Re: Seen at the globo yesterday

I haven't been to a globo gym in years, but still visit my rec center gym occasionally.

Who else has seen rowing form murdered? Good gravy people - it's not ballet, it's not an exorcism - it's just rowing. Five minutes of coaching is all it takes to understand rowing. If you don't know what you're doing, then just stop. Stop, please, for the love - I can't unsee that awful flailing rowing form!

Re: Seen at the globo yesterday

Just an observation. A couple of guys who seemed to be long time consistent and helpful posters were banned. Bummer they were a couple of good resources around here

Re: Seen at the globo yesterday

If my post of a guy wearing a fanny pack with a disc man can't move the needle in this thread I don't know what you guys are expecting
