Re: Women's B&R Bar
This is a great bar! The quality, look of the steel, feel of knurling and feel of the whip are incredible! The bar is made by York, but I like it better than my York women's bar because they really did a good job with the knurling. I appreciate that they quality checked the sleeves, too, so it fits all of my bumpers easily.
I also love the versatility aspect of the double knurl marks. There is no question where your hands need to be when benching and my beginners really appreciate being centered on every lift. They are also a HUGE hit at our gym. A large percentage of our classes at CrossFit SoCal are made up of women and the bars are the first to leave the holders. We own 2 Pendlay women's bars, 2 Pendlay Jr bars, a York women's and now these 2 B&R's. If they aren't putting a steak on their claim as soon as they walk in the door, they are doubling up and sharing the bars-they are that good! My York bar is 3-years-old has stood the test of time and hundreds of clients and thousands of lifts, so my bet is that these B&R's will do the same. |

Re: Women's B&R Bar
My next purchase is a series of women's bars before officially opening my affiliate.
Do you prefer the standard women's bars or the aluminum training bars? I have some clients who struggle with even a standard size women's bar so am thinking of going with the lighter trainer until I build up my female clientele. Eventually it will be both, but up front I'm thinking about 5 of one type until I build up my female clientele. |

Actually I would recommend Rogue 10 kg Junior Economy bars to start. They are only 7 lb more than the aluminum bar. 22 lbs versus 15 lbs and are made of steel so you can use them for heavier workouts if you need to without worrying about them breaking. WFS http://www.roguefitness.com/store/rogue_econbars.php After that I would get some Women's bars and then if you have money left over consider some aluminum bars. We actually have 4 aluminum bars, three 15 lb bars and one 11 lb bar. We do not use them very often, but we use the 22 lb bars all the time. |

Re: Women's B&R Bar
Thanks, Ahmik. That's exactly what I was looking for. I'll place my order as soon as I'm done moving.
