Rogue KG Comp Plates - 2015

Anyone notice in the pictures for the new OSO Collars, there is a 25kg comp plate?

Happy this is finally going down. Now, some change plates..? Haha, I know it has been discussed before.

Re: Rogue KG Comp Plates - 2015

Clever marketing. I have been waiting for quite a while for the new style KG plates and change to drop. I will be spending copious amounts of cheddar to revamp my garage hopefully next week. I will be going with a different brand however. I don't want to spend a bunch of money on an untested product. I have total faith in Rogue, but still.

The question on everyone's mind is if and when Rogue bars, discs, and change will be IWF certified.

I agree.

I currently train with Werksan plates. The durability and finish is much nicer than the chinese made plates Rogue and MDUSA offer.

You pay a hefty price for sure, about $500 less than an Eleiko set.

Re: Rogue KG Comp Plates - 2015

Yeah, I agree on the Rogue plates. I have a set of the new Rogue comp plates in lbs. They are definitely a big improvement on their previous color plates (now called "training" plates I believe, same as current pendlays) as far as handling and looks go. However, each time I've ordered some of the comp plates, they show up with minor imperfections in the color or gouges somewhere in them. It's not a huge deal since I saved a ton over going for Eleikos, and they are bumpers after all.. but if I had a do-over, I think I would save up and go all Eleiko or Werksan and be set for life.

Side note: I picked up those OSO collars yesterday and they are a work of art! I can't wait to start using them.

Re: Rogue KG Comp Plates - 2015

The pic was the prototype set of KG plates. They are approved and in process.

We have been working like mad in the background to get the following done:

1) Color Comp KG Plates - These are in transit to us, expect. All of the initial blemish issues should be solved with this round

2) Color KG Change Plates - En route, expecting them in the next few weeks.

Friction right behind

3) IWF - In process for bars and plates.

4) Color KG Training Plates - We revised the color range, print design, profile and construction method. These plates are pretty slick http://www.roguefitness.com/rogue-co...ing-2-0-plates wfs

-------------------

We are on it, many revisions in this process to get everything dialed in!

And yes the OSO collars are a fine piece of American engineering.

Bill

Nice glad to hear IWF is in the works!

super happy to see this type of stuff moving forward, making big steps/leaps in the strongman and weightlifting world...hopefully us powerlifters will be next! (IPF equipment hint hint)

Those oso collars are sharp too!
