Re: Paleo gives me gas

Yep, especially if you eat a ton of vegetables. I have to be in my own room for a good bit after I eat a plate-ful of broccoli in a meal, but man it is worth every bite and tastes so good with olive oil and a sprinkle of garlic sea salt.

Re: Paleo gives me gas

How long have you been doing it? I notice this effect when I first started eating much more vegetables, but it trailed off fairly quickly once my digestive system got used to it. Maybe it's all the fiber?

Re: Paleo gives me gas

opposite here.No gas with paleo, gas immediately with addition of processed grains or sugars.
You may want to add a couple of acidophilus pills to your diet.

Heavy Deadlifts may be the real concern though...

Same here. No grains or sugar here though. (Just beer but, that gives me gas anyways.) I go to the #2 less than I had before. Does that mean my body is processing most of the food before I pass it? I used to go twice a day, now it's 3 to 4 times a week (7 day week).

Re: Paleo gives me gas

Had the same problem when I started Paleo. My body has adjusted and the coworkers are much happier. No problems anymore.....except when:

Cheat a day and trying to deadlift is harmful to your health!
