Rogue Olympic WL bar spin friction

Hey guys,

I bought a Rogue Olympic WL bar (bearing) back in June and then another in September. I've been noticing a couple of things with the first one:

1) The spin has gotten quite noisy and "rough" at certain points of the turn even after application of 3-in-1 oil. It almost sounds/feels like a rough zipper (for lack of a better description) Obviously this one is older than the newer one, but I don't want to believe there is something wrong with the bearings in it?

2) The endcaps are a different shade of blue-- did something change with the bars from June to September?

I also have a Pendlay bearing bar we have from January and that still spins like butter-- maybe just different types of sleeves.

Or Maybe I'm being anal-- I just love my more expensive bars

Note: Using this to get feedback for future purchases of bars for my Weightlifting club. I LOVE the smooth spin of the Pendlays but I love the slightly more aggressive (but still nice) knurl of the Rogue.

yeah I would call Rogue. That shouldn't be the case. It should spin smooth forever.

Re: Rogue Olympic WL bar spin friction

We hit some bumps in the road at the start. Biggest was some folks putting too much loctite in the end cap threads that leaked into the bearings.

All that time building the bar to have that happen but we are better for it now.

-------

If you have issues with your bar just email us team@roguefitness.com

The change in end cap color was just a mod to our printing.

Thanks for your patience. Your feedback drives Rogue getting better.

Bill
