Funny about the King Kong reference. I have been kicking around the idea about giving the Rx a shot, but I want to get another good DL day in first. It's coming, but you should definitely give it a shot, and scale it however you want to.

I've also decided (foolishly) to compete the advanced/"Road to the Games" division at tomorrow's Iron Curtain Challenge at Leo's CF Evolution. Not wise, especially since I have been competing with you the past month for worst eating habits I am pretty sure I am ahead, though...due to my unwavering addiction to cookie dough...
You'll do fine at the Iron Curtain Challenge! Good luck DC.
Cookie dough? Nice. Yep, this is the time of year (holidays) that I seem to let the diet relax way too much. I always pay the price in January!

I'm sure those OHSs felt super the next day; not to mention the burpees, MB cleans, and wall-balls! Dang you're awesome!!
Thanks Matt! Hope all is well with you over in the sandbox! Nice job on Helen. Guess I could write that on YOUR log!

3 rounds for time:
30 Squat Cleans, 95#M, 65#W
30 Pullups
800m Run
RXd, Time=32:59
Not bad considering the copioius amount of wine I consumed last night! Runs felt sluggish but SCs felt strong. I'm finally getting the "generate momentum on the bar to get under it vs. don't pull the bar" cue. Pullups were strung together and okay.

Re: A Soccer Mom's Log

Thanks Matt! I had a great T-day week! One that didn't involve much in the way of movement. Only did one silly WOD at the little condo "gym." Better than nothing. From now on when I travel, I'm coming up with a specific plan!

Thursday, November 26, 2009
20-18-16-14-12-10-8-6-4-2 of
Pushups
DB Swings, 35#
Situps
100 jumprope singles in between each round.
Time= ~18 min

Friday, November 27, 2009
Double Under practice and demo for the relatives who think I'm nuts!
This was during happy hour/football game (Ala vs. Auburn) so I was very relaxed. I got 33 DUs in a row! A PR by a landslide. Too bad I can't incorporate this training tool at WOD-time.

Monday, November 30, 2009
Back @ CFED--yay!
"Kelly"
5 Rounds for time
400m Run
30 Box Jumps, 24"
30 Wall Balls, 14# ball to a 10' target
Time- 34:55
Not so great. I've done Kelly 3 other times. Time was closer to 30 min; however, I jumped on the 24" box this time!

Re: A Soccer Mom's Log

Have been slacking on my log again. It's only gonna get worse with the busy holidays ahead.
Couple of things I'm really excited about. I PRed my OHS (my #1 goat along with snatches and ring dips) yesterday although there wasn't a witness so I'm not counting it.

21-15-9 of Full Squat Cleans (95/135) and Ring Dips
Time=21:22

Slow time but...first time using 95# on Liz which is 5# under my 1RM on cleans. Unassisted bar dips on the first round, then purple band on the other two. Today was the first time I've ever done an unassisted dip period. Who knew? Apparently Coach Shana did.
