Can I build muscle with CrossFit?

I just joined CrossFit and I like it so far but my goal is to build muscle.

Do you think I can achieve it with Crossfit? I am skinny. Tips please

How long would it take me?

I am skinny. I weight 123 lbs and i am 5'8. How long will it take me to get lean muscle? Also, what should I eat and what should I avoid?

If your sole purpose is to build muscle than you're better off working just on getting stronger on big barbell movements (squats, presses, rows, deadlifts, etc) and making sure you eat enough.

lift heavy things. eat everything you see. sleep. rinse. repeat.

crossfit can build some muscle, but in your case it would be like putting a drop in a bucket. do a program made for building muscle, getting strong, and gaining weight.

Sure. Do ten bicep curls, down 2 protien shakes and in about 36 hours you should have the chiseled physique you long for.



Cmon dude. Looking like a model takes years of hard work, the right diet and supps, more hard work, good genes, the right lighting, a nice tan, and more HARD WORK. like everybody says, eat eat eat and lift lift lift.

The short answer is yes that you can gain muscle with CrossFit. Over the last 10 years I've gained nearly 30lbs. However, you're not going to get to far here posting a pic of an abercrombie model. If you want to gain weight fast then go pure barbell, .1 secs of google will find you a program that will work as long as you stick to it. Squats and calories. If you're in it for the long term I'd suggest CrossFit Football as a good place to start.
